Hah, I didn't know the word until I looked it up! Everywhere except the bathroom (which is linoleum or similar) has a kind of unfitted, but cut to size carpet which I think is moquette...the colours are a bit depressing but hopefully it keeps us a bit warmer. I've seen a few older houses with carpeted bathrooms over here, and it always strikes me as a bit gross.
